Sources: official first

We rely on official sources first: Home Affairs (DHA), SARS, CIPC, the South African Reserve Bank, gov.za, the South African Police Service, and the Chinese Embassy and consulates in South Africa. Only where official information is not available do we use reputable media, academic research or industry bodies, and we say so in the text. Every article ends with a list of sources. If we cannot confirm a figure officially, we give it as approximate or send readers to the official website. We never invent fees, addresses or phone numbers.

“Last checked” dates

Every article shows the date it was last checked. Fees, exchange rates, visa rules and anything else that changes often are marked “as of” a given month. When policies change, we update the page and its date.

Corrections

If you find an error, email info@nanfeihuaren.com with the page link and your source. We verify it and correct the page promptly, and we note significant corrections in the article.

Independence

We are not affiliated with any government, embassy, agent or company. Our editors decide what we publish, and we do not accept payment to change content.

Advertising and commercial partnerships

If we carry advertising or commercial partnerships, they are clearly labelled and kept separate from editorial content. Commercial relationships never affect the facts, figures or legal information in our articles.

AI-assisted research, human editing

We use AI tools to help with research and first drafts. Before anything is published, an editor checks the sources and edits and approves the text, and the editorial team takes responsibility for it.

Gambling content

We only cover gambling products that are legal in South Africa: provincially licensed land-based casinos, sports and horse-racing betting, limited payout machines and bingo, and the National Lottery. Online casino games are illegal in South Africa, and we never recommend them or explain how to use them. All gambling content is for over-18s only and points to responsible gambling. For the law, see South Africa’s gambling laws.
